Let's Go!

I am so excited to start this blog to share what God has been doing in my life, especially since I uprooted my life and moved to Atlanta, Georgia for 5 months. I am so blessed to be here and learning so much literally every day. I want to be able to share with a variety of people, more details, and more pictures than I can in an email or a mailed letter, though I do still plan to do both with some regularity.

Alas, we are a bit behind on the activities going on here in Georgia at Discipleship Training School through Youth With A Mission. Let me start with a few details about what both of those things are. One thing you need to know about Youth With A Mission, is how much they LOVE acronyms. It's called YWAM (pronounced  Y-wam) and the school I'm attending is DTS. YWAM is an international movement of people young and old who are passionate about Knowing God, and Making Him Known. DTS is the intro course, a requirement for all YWAMers. It consists of a three month lecture phase and a two to three month outreach phase into a foreign, often third-world country. But more on all this later.

I must catch y'all up on happenings here, and I am so excited to do that, but it's getting late and I have a full day tomorrow including morning classes, outreach into Atlanta, and a fun Trunk or Treat outreach at a local church here!!! Until I do get caught up, I will try to post several times a week. There is so much God has been doing already in this first month here and I hope some of my stories, and sharing the things I'm learning will encourage someone, touch a heart, or just remind people of why they started serving this magnificent God in the first place.
